Junior Golf

Springfield Country Club is dedicated to enriching the lives of our youth and our Club Members by introducing kids to the game that we all love. In 2022, 175 different kids were invloved in all of our programs. Between clinics, PGA Junior League, Interclub matches and our welcoming all of our kids to the club, we pledge to teach your children about golf and some great life lessons along the way. 2023 Junior Programs
In 2022, Springfield Country Club’s Junior Golf Programs hosted 172 different kids, between PGA Junior League, Friday Clinics, Junior Golf Camps, and private lessons. 2023 will be another great year for Junior Golf at Springfield. PGA Junior League
Runs early May through late June, it is an eight-week program taking place on Saturday and Monday late afternoons/evenings. One practice and one match per week (matches probably starting Mid-May). Juniors get uniforms and instruction. Two teams 13u and 17u. This is a great program for kids of all ages and experience levels. It gets kids on the course in a moderately competitive environment. Some travel could be involved in matches. Cost $349 per child. Register at pgajuniorleague.com
Friday Junior Clinics
Begin Friday July 7th and runs six Fridays through August 11th (Friday August 18th will be our Rain Date). Kids can sign up for one hour 9am-10am or 3 hours 9am-12pm. Great for beginners and intermediates. Learn grip, setup, full swings, chipping, pitching and putting. $225 for all six 3 hour sessions and $125 for all six one hour sessions.
Junior Golf Camps
Two full week sessions in 2023. July 17-20 and August 21-24 from 9am – 12pm. A 4-day long experience (Friday’s will be our rain date for each week) for children to develop their knowledge and skill in the game of golf. They will be supplied with personal instruction from a variety of our coaches, as well as an opportunity to learn more about the game of golf and all it entails. Cost is $175 per child.
Thursdays are For the Girls
Thursday Evenings in three levels (primiarily based on age but adjustments can be made as necessary), 101-beginner players, 201 - intermediate players, 301 more experienced players. June 1st through August. Hosted by Staff Professional PGA Associate Taylor Schmidt, this girls only program is intended to learn some golf and some social skills. It has been one of our most well attended programs over the past couple of seasons and the only program in this area that we are aware of. Cost is $175 per child for the entire session.
Junior Coaching
Perfect for Juniors who don’t need, or think they need a ton of instruction. High School/ possible college players or just serious Junior players who want to improve. Meant to be for more experienced players who need a bit of direction in their practice habits and general game. Full swing, short game, equipment conversations, mental and course preparation. Full swings and equipment will be enhanced by FlightScope Launch Monitor during these training sessions. Runs Wednesday afternoons from 1-2:30 from July 12th – August 16th, Cost is $100 for all 6 weeks. It’s a great opportunity for Juniors to learn.
Student Memberships
This membership includes golf, practice facilities and house charging privileges to an individual aged 13 to 18. Restricted tee times shall apply. Student Membership Annual Dues: $1000.00
