Thursday Evenings divided into three Programs: 101 (4:30-5:30pm), 201 (5:30-6:30pm) and 301 (6:30-7:30pm). The programs typically are divided based on age, but we can make adjustments as necessary. The session will run from the first week of June through the end of August. Hosted by Staff Professional PGA Associate Taylor Schmidt, this girls only program is intended to learn some golf and some social skills. It has been one of our most well attended programs over the past couple of seasons and the only program of it's nature in this area that we are aware of. We're going to get started Thursday June 6th, and will meet every Thursday through the end of August. Cost for the entire season is $180 per child.
Begin Friday July 12th and runs six Fridays through August 16th (Friday August 23rd will be our Rain Date). Kids can sign up for one hour 9am-10am or 3 hours 9am-12pm. Great for beginners and intermediates. Learn grip, setup, full swings, chipping, pitching and putting. $225 for all six 3 hour sessions and $125 for all six one hour sessions.
August 19-22 from 9am – 12pm. A 4-day long experience (Friday will be our rain date) for children to develop their knowledge and skill in the game of golf. They will be supplied with personal instruction from a variety of our coaches, as well as an opportunity to learn more about the game of golf and all it entails. Cost is $180 per child.
AJC (Advanced Junior Coaching) Program is being developed to include Brandon Lawlor and all the valuable knowledge and skills he has to offer. Our goal is to combine Lawlor’s strength training with the golf instruction and practice to develop some of our more advanced junior golfers and take their game to new heights. The club-in-hand portion of the program, led by EJ Altobello, PGA and Taylor Schmidt, will incorporate some direction in their practice habits and general game. We will be covering full swing, short game, have some equipment conversations, mental and course preparation. Knowledge and understanding of the full swing and equipment will be enhanced by FlightScope Launch Monitor technology used during these training sessions. We believe this 8-week program is best suited for advanced junior golfers, who are considering expanding their golf journey. Whether they are looking for a college-prep regiment, or just to play more competitively, this program is going to provide the broadest scope of skill and knowledge development. We intend on meeting every Sunday from 1:30pm-3:00pm, program will start July 14th, running for 8 weeks, making our final session September 1st.
Sunday afternoons – 9 Holes – Tee Times begin at 3:00 – Sign up week to week by Saturday evenings. Completely designed for juniors that can walk, carry or push, and play their own balls for 9 Holes in under two hours. No entry fee. Year end prizes Sponsored by the SCC Men’s Golf Association.
This program has been a popular Fall activity for many juniors over the past few seasons. Our Fall session of Junior League is a 5-week long program taking place from 5:00PM - 7:00PM on Saturday evenings. We will plan to break into different teams (depending on numbers) and have some nights of practice (which will entail work on the range, chipping, and putting greens) as well as other nights on the course getting some play and matches in.
The program will begin September 7th - October 5th, 5:00PM-7:00PM. Cost is $180 per child.
